Frosch is victor in wool detergent test!
Werner & Mertz product prevails over Perwoll and others.
A sensational confirmation at year-end: The Frosch brand Delicate Almond Detergent is the winner of the wool detergent test conducted by Stiftung Warentest! The product, which was rated Good (2.0), cleans best, according to the testing institute, and treats wool, silk and fine washables gently.
Stiftung Warentest examined a total of 11 wool detergents. The Frosch product achieved good results in all relevant categories—washing effect, color retention, fabric protection, declaration and environmental attributes.
Sustainable, high-performance detergent
“The test result once again confirms that sustainability and high quality are not mutually exclusive; they complement each other. Our customers can wash their delicate fabrics with an environmentally friendly and powerful detergent. A truly green, truly strong success!” said Karin Greve, Marketing Manager for the Frosch brand in Germany.
The fiber-friendly mild detergent is suitable for wool, silk, viscose, down, and fabrics with elastic and synthetic fibers (elastane). The formula with almond extracts gently cleans and cares for fine and delicate fibers.
In keeping with the nine-point promise of organic quality in the Frosch brand, the formula of the Delicate Almond Detergent contains neither animal-derived ingredients nor microplastic.
Sustainable formula and packaging
Sustainability at Frosch includes the world’s leading use of plant-based surfactants, which come from diversified European cultivation and allow the phasing out of palm oil and monocultures. Since 1986 the manufacturer Werner & Mertz has relied on sufactants based on regenerative raw materials for its Frosch brand. Since 2011 surfactants based on European vegetable oils have been used. This proportion of non-tropical vegetable oils is continuously increased for the sake of biodiversity.
The family company Werner & Mertz shows in its packaging too that a functioning circular economy is feasible. In 2018 the eco pioneer launched the first high-quality recyclable stand-up pouch of a monomaterial. The Cradle to Cradle certified pouch reduces the use of plastic by 70 percent compared to a bottle with the same content volume.
