The German consumer brand with the highest customer satisfaction comes from Mainz!
A great success for the Frosch brand from Rhineland-Palatinate: It is the only Fast-Moving Consumer Goods brand in the Top Ten with the highest customer satisfaction! The ranking, made in cooperation with YouGov, was emphasized in a Süddeutsche Zeitung article: “The surprise this year was that only one brand from the FMCG category was ranked among the top ten—the cleaning and care products manufacturer Frosch, which had already taken pole position in 2025.”
The Mainz-based trusted brand is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. Werner & Mertz has been loyal to its location since the company’s founding more than 150 years ago. In keeping with its integrally sustainable approach, the manufacturer produces high-quality laundry detergents and cleaning products here.
Werner & Mertz owner Reinhard Schneider says the result is a boost for the German Mittelstand. “The ranking shows that a Mittelstand brand made in Germany achieves the highest customer satisfaction! And does that once again in times of great uncertainty. The unwavering focus of our Frosch brand and of our entire company give the consumer stability. With a score of 90.9, the Frosch brand not only placed first in its cleaning products category, but also landed in sixth place in the overall ranking.

Just as important is the quality of the products. High customer satisfaction directly affects a company’s success and gives it a clear competitive advantage.

High quality completely without use of petroleum
Since its establishment in 1986, the trusted Frosch brand has offered eco products that clean powerfully while treating people and the environment gently. Frosch shows that sustainable cleaning and washing demand no sacrifices. On the contrary, Frosch stands for joy and lightheartedness with its attractive design, pleasant scents and the likeable comic frog figure Fred as brand ambassador. Like Nature, Frosch works within cycles. The brand relies on plant-based ingredients from renewable resources and does without petroleum. Packaging too is sustainable. The bottles are made of used plastic with increasingly more material obtained from the Yellow Bag. To date, the company has put more than one billion bottles of 100 percent used plastic on the market—a milestone!

About the Highest Customer Satisfaction survey
To determine the ranking in cooperation with the SZ Institut of the Süddeutschen Zeitung, YouGov asked 900,000 representative persons about 791 brands in 34 categories in online interviews from March 2025 to February 2026. The brands could score between minus 100 to plus 100 points. Customer satisfaction scores were based on consumer responses about whether they considered themselves satisfied or dissatisfied customers of a brand. YouGov offset the responses by subtracting the negative from the positive assessments, resulting in a scale from -100 to +100.
