Mountain forest projects and environmental work sites in the Alps

In the long-term cooperation with the Alpine Club, Werner & Mertz Hallein pursues the goals of nature conservation and sustainable development of the alpine area. Every year the company supports about 40 mountain forest projects and environmental work sites.

Young volunteers between the ages of 16 and 30 work on the environmental sites to repair ecological damage, maintain trails, plant trees and seed areas damaged by erosion. Other volunteers aged 18 and up can take part in mountain forest projects. Local farmers, foresters and environmental agents work with the volunteers to ensure the stability and vitality of the forest.
