Integral Sustainability and Quality Management
Our success story is based on the highest standards for sustainability and quality and on the growing trust of consumers in our products and brands. Although sustainability and quality relate to different fields, the two have a close connection in that both aim for higher product and environmental quality.
We have developed our integral sustainability and quality management in order to live up to our high standards. In our Integrated Management System (IMS), we have combined the separate systems of Environmental, Energy and Quality Management, which we use to systematically certify the companies in the Werner & Mertz Group. By means of our extensive certifications and associated internal and external audits, we ensure our continued progress.
EMAS
Of special importance to us is EMAS, the world’s most extensive and highest quality system for sustainable environmental management. With the EMAS validation, our production sites can prove how diligently we put our sustainability philosophy into practice. The solid reputation of EMAS contributes greatly to deeping our customers‘ trust in our products.
ISO 14001 und ISO 50001
For several years the Werner & Mertz production sites have been certified according to ISO 14001 criteria, which constitute the globally accepted and applied standards for environmental management systems. In addition, our Energy Management System is certified according to ISO 50001 and our Quality Management System according to ISO 9001. Within the Professional Division of Werner & Mertz, the German sales company Tana-Chemie received the highest EcoVadis Platinum rating in 2021 and 2022.
